Being perpetually oppressed and offended is the new trend in Black America, says the gentleman who is mayor of America's largest city - Brandon Scott of Baltimore. Having reached the upper echelons of the Democratic Party, seeing the heights and accomplishments that the children that grace the sad halls of the Baltimore City Public School System can only wish to ever accomplish, he has decided that he’s still not being treated fairly. All because people question whether he’s the so called "DEI hire."

Surprisingly, the Black Conservative Federation is also offended by the term and has issued a statement that reads, “The current trend of Black voters shifting from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party is indicative of the appeal of our policies and their resonance with the black community. However, the programs we do are undermined by the inappropriate use of derogatory terms such as 'DEI Hire'".

Wow, what a statement coming from the very people that have demanded that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) be set in place! The racists have decided that those who are now fighting back are called...you guessed it, "racist!" You don’t get to do that! White Americans are constantly called everything from privileged, to nepotistic, and then they are slayed with terms like White Fragility. The brown skins of our community have some nerves!

The truth is, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a legal way of discriminating against those with a different skin color and allowing special privileges simply based on the color of person's skin. Why not just show the world all that you're capable of regardless of your complexion? Why request to be treated differently and holler when you are looked at differently?

If you find the term "DEI hire" offensive, then maybe, just like the N-word, everyone should stop using it - in deed and in speech. In the end, it delivers nothing more than division.

Watch the ladies discuss!
